SXSW - The Week Ahead

We all know the healthcare industry is in a state of flux.

Attending events like SXSW help us continue to bring innovative ideas and insights to our work, so we can connect our brands with their HCP and patient customers in more relevant and meaningful ways.

We’ll bring back key trends, inspiring ideas and case studies so we can share the latest and greatest information to help clients navigate the healthcare landscape. Sessions we’ll attend cover a range of topics including Digital Health, Blockchain, Empathetic and Interactive Storytelling, Diversity and Inclusion, AI, and Gamification just to name a few. We’ll also attend Food, Retail, Entertainment and Political events to round things out.

Our team will be posting about the main themes we’ve heard each day across our social media channels and will provide a daily roundup on our blog. Post-event we’ll compile a comprehensive report about our experience. Hope you’ll join us as we take on this amazing experience.

Our team's experience at SXSW

Nikkie Jones, Managing Director

My SXSW Experience: I’ve been really lucky to have attended several times, and I love it. This time of year feels overloaded with work and I’m feeling burnt out. I come back from SXSW feeling refreshed and inspired and excited to bring new ideas to the agency, my life personally, professionally and my clients. SXSW makes you feel excited to learn about new things. It’s contagious excitement.

Ray Pellicore, Director of Interactive & Technical Operations

My SXSW Experience: I’ve been to SXSW once before, in 2016, and I still reference my notes from those sessions to this day. The most fascinating aspect of the conference for me is how technology and healthcare intersect. There is so much opportunity in this space for technology to increase the effectiveness of healthcare, but it’s often held back by things like incohesive systems or fragmented data, so I’m looking forward to see how this has advanced in the past few years.

Christine Carey, Senior Strategist

My SXSW Experience: I am a SXSW newbie and can’t wait to be surrounded by (even more) wicked smart and creative people across industries and art forms. As technology, healthcare and art become more and more intertwined, I want to learn from leaders in each of these spaces and bring back to closerlook how to put them all together. I am looking forward to growing not only professionally but also personally over the next five action packed days.

Liz Mitchell, Director of Marketing

My SXSW Experience: I’ve attended one time, in 2011. It the first year the Health Track was part of the official Interactive conference. I was blown away learning about all the trends, ideas and energy surrounding healthcare. I still reference some of the panels I attended today, years later. I look forward to going again to see how it’s changed and get a sneak preview of what we’ll be talking about for the next few years.
